As a premium hotel in San Francisco serving not only the tourism but also with significant income coming from City and Silicon Valley businesses, security surveillance and risk management systems needed to be updated.
This Client had an outdated security surveillance system that was very labour intense, slow and reactive rather than proactive.
Applied Video Solutions were invited to the property to provide a full review of existing systems and found many areas that required immediate improvement.
A bank of 9 VCR’s were used to record footage from 120 analogue cameras around the property. Searching and referencing incidents was cumbersome and took up to 4 hours of replay to isolate one incident.
Utilising existing cameras and cabling to save cost and inconvenience, Applied Video utilised the most modern technology to convert analogue recording to digital storage and provide quick and easy referencing to security points, times and incidents reducing referencing times from 4 hours to just a matter of minutes.
Not only have we significantly improved the security and surveillance at the property but also saved the Client 40 man hours a month which in addition to the improved efficiency has assisted with the funding of the project and underlined the return on investment to the Client.
